Negotiating a job offer?
We help you get a sweeter deal.

Whatever you do, whether it is software engineering, customer success, or marketing, you’re skilled at your tradecraft. You may even negotiate complex project deliverables or contracts for a living.
So why does negotiating a job offer feel so… awful?

Debating your value with a professional recruiter is an emotional roller coaster of gaslighting and doubt.
Is this really a fair offer? Can you ask for more? Did you ask for too much? Did you self sabotage your negotiating power before the offer was even extended?

Sugarcube Consulting clients average $18,000 in total compensation gains from the initial offer received to the final offer accepted.

Sugarcube Consulting offers one-on-one bespoke job offer negotiation strategy and consulting to individuals that are in final interviews or actively evaluating a new job offer.  While the typical Sugarcube Consulting client averages $18,000 USD in increased offer value, negotiation gains have ranged from as low as $5000 to as high as $48,000.  While every reasonable commercial effort will be expended to achieve an outcome you are delighted with, your individual negotiation experience may vary and success is not guaranteed.

How it works…

Preparation:

  • 1 hour intake call, client provides current compensation data, resume, job description of role offer is expected for

  • Sugarcube Consulting provides coaching and documentation to help you put your best foot forward in conversations with the hiring manager and recruiter

Research:

  • Once offer is received, Sugarcube Consulting performs market research on the company, job family, and compensation offered.

  • We have another 1 hour call to discuss a counter offer strategy and provide negotiation coaching

  • Sugarcube Consultant ghost-writes your counteroffer proposal to send the recruiter

Decision:

  • Only you can decide whether or not to accept an offer - we only get paid when you do.

AHH there’s the catch! How much does it cost?

  • If you don't accept an offer, regardless of negotiating success, you pay nothing.

  • If you accept an offer that is no different than the original offer, you pay nothing.

  • If you accept an offer that is more than the original offer, our commission is 5% of the negotiation gains.
